　　1.EA早期行動(dòng)。

　　英文是Early Action，簡(jiǎn)稱為EA。權(quán)威的英文解釋是這樣說的：Early action is another type of early admission process for admission to colleges and universities in the United States.

　　Unlike the regular admissions process, early action usually requires students to submit an application by November 1 of their senior year of high school instead of January 1. 

　　Students are notified of the school's decision by mid-December instead of April 1. There are two types of early action programs: restrictive early action and non-restrictive 

early action. Restrictive EA allows candidates to apply to only one early action institution and to no institutions early decision, while, as the name implies, there are no such restrictions on non-restrictive early action. Regardless, the applicant is still permitted to reject any offer of admission in both types of early action.

　　EA的變種：

　　SCEA(Single Choice Early Action)是單一選擇的早期行動(dòng)。與EA基本相同，唯一不同的是，SCEA只能申請(qǐng)一所大學(xué)。

　　REA是Restrictive Early Action的簡(jiǎn)稱，譯為“限制性提前行動(dòng)”。

　　無論是SCEA還是REA，都對(duì)申請(qǐng)學(xué)生的EA提前申請(qǐng)進(jìn)行一定的條件限制，但是錄取結(jié)果都不具有約束性。

　　不同的是，與REA相比，SCEA招生政策的限制要嚴(yán)格的多：學(xué)生在申請(qǐng)一所實(shí)行SCEA招生政策的大學(xué)時(shí)，要與該大學(xué)簽署承諾協(xié)議，保證沒有同時(shí)向其它美國大學(xué)進(jìn)行ED和EA的申請(qǐng)。而實(shí)行REA招生政策的大學(xué)，一般只會(huì)要求學(xué)生在申請(qǐng)?jiān)摯髮W(xué)的REA時(shí)，不得再申請(qǐng)任何其他大學(xué)的ED，但允許學(xué)生任意申請(qǐng)其他大學(xué)的EA。

　　2.ED早期決定。

　　英文是Early Decision，簡(jiǎn)稱為ED。比較權(quán)威的英文解釋是這樣說的：Early Decision is a type of early admission process for admission to colleges and universities in the United States. Unlike the regular admissions process, early action usually requires students to submit an application by November 1 of their senior year of high school instead of January 1. 　　Early decision is a binding commitment and if accepted, you must attend that school.This is not recommended unless you absolutely know for sure that this will be your first choice school.

　　3.RD正常批次

　　英文是RegularDecision，簡(jiǎn)稱RD。申請(qǐng)者必須在學(xué)校要求的申請(qǐng)截止日期之前遞交申請(qǐng)，大部分學(xué)校RD的申報(bào)截止日期是次年的1月1號(hào)，少部分也有1月15號(hào)或者2月1號(hào)。一般可在4月1日前后收到是否被錄取的通知。可申請(qǐng)多所大學(xué)，一旦被錄取，申請(qǐng)者可根據(jù)自己的意愿選擇中意的大學(xué)入學(xué)，也有一些學(xué)校沒有提前批次和正常批次之說，申請(qǐng)的截止的日期只有一個(gè)，比如加州系統(tǒng)的大學(xué)，申報(bào)截止日期都是11月30號(hào)，華盛頓大學(xué)的截止日期是12月1號(hào)。
