當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間4月10日，美國(guó)本科網(wǎng)申系統(tǒng)The Common Application(簡(jiǎn)稱CommonApp)宣布，超過(guò)30所美國(guó)及國(guó)際高等院校作為新成員加入其申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)。從現(xiàn)在開(kāi)始，同學(xué)們不必再使用這些學(xué)校單獨(dú)的網(wǎng)申系統(tǒng)，可以在CommonApp中統(tǒng)一提交，大大節(jié)省了申請(qǐng)的時(shí)間成本，從而提高申請(qǐng)效率。此次新加入的學(xué)校中，Top 100的院校包括賓州州立大學(xué)(#52)、匹茲堡大學(xué)(#68)、愛(ài)荷華大學(xué)(#78)、密歇根州立大學(xué)(#81)和佛羅里達(dá)州立大學(xué)(#81)。
CommonApp建立于1975年，是美國(guó)大學(xué)本科入學(xué)網(wǎng)上申請(qǐng)的一站式網(wǎng)站，也是一個(gè)非營(yíng)利組織。它的使命是幫助申請(qǐng)人(包括美國(guó)本土和國(guó)際申請(qǐng)人)一次性、一站式地進(jìn)行原本繁瑣的大學(xué)申請(qǐng)流程(如提交高中成績(jī)單、推薦信以及文書(shū)等)。它倡導(dǎo)全面評(píng)估申請(qǐng)人的成就和潛力，平衡了主觀(如留學(xué)文書(shū)，推薦信，課外活動(dòng))與客觀(如GPA，SAT/ACT/TOEFL成績(jī))考察因素。
2018-2019年，CommonApp網(wǎng)申系統(tǒng)涵蓋的美國(guó)高等院校(包括少部分國(guó)際院校)超過(guò)800所。這個(gè)強(qiáng)大的線上申請(qǐng)平臺(tái)將會(huì)幫助超過(guò)300萬(wàn)名來(lái)自全球的申請(qǐng)者、老師和咨詢顧問(wèn)，簡(jiǎn)化本科申請(qǐng)過(guò)程。至今為止，加入CommonApp的高等院校覆蓋美國(guó)49個(gè)州及全球19個(gè)國(guó)家，其中包括超過(guò)160所公立院校和65所國(guó)際院校。

2018-2019年CommonApp文書(shū)題目
1. Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
2. The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
3. Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?
4. Describe a problem you've solved or a problem you'd like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma - anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.
5. Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.
6. Describe a topic, idea, or concept you find so engaging that it makes you lose all track of time. Why does it captivate you? What or who do you turn to when you want to learn more?
7. Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you've already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.
